Stablecoin
A stablecoin is a cryptocurrency pegged to a stable asset — usually the US dollar — to keep its value with low volatility.
A stablecoin is a cryptocurrency designed to hold a stable value, pegged to a reference asset — almost always the US dollar, 1 to 1. Unlike Bitcoin, whose price swings widely, 1 unit of a dollar stablecoin is worth roughly 1 dollar at all times.
The most widely used stablecoins are USDC (issued by Circle) and USDT (issued by Tether). They let you hold value in digital dollars and move funds globally, 24 hours a day, without depending on banking hours.
For companies in Brazil, combining them with PIX is powerful: you receive reais instantly and convert to a stablecoin to keep treasury in digital dollars.
