Off-ramp
An off-ramp is the reverse of an on-ramp: converting crypto assets back into traditional money — for example, from stablecoin to reais via PIX.
An off-ramp is the way back: converting crypto assets, such as stablecoins, back into traditional money. In Brazil, that usually means turning USDC or USDT into reais and paying to a PIX key.
For an exchange or crypto product, an instant off-ramp is a matter of trust: the user's withdrawal needs to land quickly. A slow off-ramp erodes the service's reputation.
